Change, Compassion, Unity, and Civil Rights. Marriage for all!

During the last few months, the word change has been on everyone's tongue. Both Presidential nominees, President-Elect Obama and Senator McCain used it to draw the American people to support their parties, campaigns, and beliefs. Obama invoked the spirit of change so powerfully. We were so inspired that we came out as one and said: “Yes, we want change!“ and elected him President.  Read more >

Asking For Forgiveness - How Specific?

I sent out emails asking for forgiveness. I'm starting anew in a new home. I feel like I have a new life. And I wanted to clear the slate with people I've hurt in the past.  Read more >

101 Goals in 1001 Days

I've recently discovered an online project called "101 Things to Do in 1001 Days." It encourages change and growth through self-exploration and goal-setting. There are guidelines for the goals. "Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part)." I also add this criteria: They must positively affect life and health in some way. I'm a chronically ill and Goddess-worshiping lesbian. And this blog will serve as a chronicle of my daily life. I hope it also becomes a tool to help others dealing with similar issues.

About Me:

I'm a 29 year old femme with a blog - http://chroniclesbian.blogspot.com/. I always try to act like a lady - without being caught up in society's traps. I think that waking up late on the weekend is a wonderful thing. Reading in bed is a pleasure. I love book stores, coffee shops, cultural events, and aquariums. I just bought a cute little home with a nice backyard, which is perfect for agarden.

I'm a big musical fan. I've seen Phantom, Spamalot, Forbidden Broadway, Les Mis, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Wicked. I wish I would have seen the revival of Company and Sweeney Todd. Along with theater, I enjoy watching DVD's, mostly British comedies and horror.

Nature calms me. I grow a number of herbs and veggies in my backyard. There is nothing like having tomatoes straight from the garden. I love working with different herbs. Mints are my favorite because they are lush and come in so many different flavors. My new favorite variety is Lavender Mint. I have apple, peppermint, lemon, orange, chocolate, spearmint, catnip, and ginger.

I have a chronic illness, so I am interested in cooking, health, and alternative healing. I'm focusing on healing, my friends and family, my new home, work, and living with peace and compassion.

I'm currently working for a book seller and live with my 2 cats and lots of plants. I'm currently looking to find a new job, preferably as a Library Assistant.

I just discovered "Samantha Who" and fell in love with it. It's my inspiration. I'm going through my Saturn return. It's a time to face the fire. From that fire two things can happen - you become nothing but ashes or rise from the flames. So now I'm restarting my life and becoming the woman I'm meant to be. I'm starting now by contacting my friends (current and previous), apologizing for past hurts and trying to make amends where I can.
