I'm 31 years old and live right outside the Washington DC Metro area. I am currently in my 6th year as a high school photography teacher and have been a spinning instructor for over two years at a local health club. My real passion is teaching other women how to live a healthy lifestyle, and eventually want to work full-time in the health & fitness industry. I'm a former fat kid/teen/young adult, so weight and body image issues are something I know all too well! I've been able to get healthy through mindful eating and lots of exercise and have found a way to enjoy it all!

I love to run, hike, bike, kayak, and do anything outdoors. Unless I'm teaching a spin class, my workouts consist mostly of functional training- which is extremely challenging and I hate love it so much! I also spend a lot of time with my two golden retrievers Lance and Jackson and my fiancee Greg (we're getting married in July!).

I'm constantly trying to improve myself and be a better person- and if I can inspire others along the way- that's even better!
