Muslim Students Call NYPD Monitoring “Violation” of Rights

The American Civil Liberties Union and the New York Civil Liberties Union say they are considering possible litigation against the New York Police Department over their surveillance and monitoring of Muslim student groups across the Northeast. Brittany Murphy’s mother, Sharon, is now convinced her daughter and son-in-law’s deaths were caused by the “sick house” they lived in. However, she cannot sue the builders of the home for wrongful death under terms of her original settlement with the contractors.
