I'm a wife, mother, professional writer/publicist.  My PR practice is focused on the environment, healthcare and education, and I'm a natural advocate for my clients, myself (I've used a wheelchair since age 8) and my children, including my 10-year-old, Cooper, who has Down syndrome.  I take pride in the idea that disability is not the center of our lives, but it certainly comes up and there's no denying that it has shaped who we are, individually and collectively.  I'm finding my voice as a multi-tasking blogger, holding forth on everything from my kids and family to the books I'm reading, the food I'm cooking, the little shortcuts and discoveries that make my life easier and more fun, my slow but sure conversation to a 'clean' lifestyle ... in other words, all the things I want to hear about from you!
