Fashion/Style Freelance Writer:

Not willing to sacrifice her love of fashion in our nation's politically drenched capital, Lacey began to write about personal style favorites on her website, A Lacey Perspective. A blog centered around her 'perspective' on women, politics and fashion; weekly posts explore not only the role of fashion in politics but how to be chic and cost effective. Lacey also is a contributing Fashion Writer for Galtime.com and HerExchange.com. When she's not providing readers the latest in what's both fashionably and politically correct, you can find her shopping fearlessly in pursuance of the greatest deals and steals in the District.

Rep. Maxine Waters Defends Against Ethics Charges

On August 13, 2010 Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) read a statement and answered questions on ethics charges brought against her by the Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE). The OCE alleges that she inappropriately used her office to secure a meeting regarding what would later become TARP funding for OneUnited -- a bank her husband was a board member of from 2004 to 2008 and was a stock holder in at the time of the meeting. See this video for a summary of Rep. Waters' remarks. ...more
