Estella is my mom, she is going to be my first blog for Blogher. I learned Friday night that my mother Estella has suffered a stroke and she needs to have surgery to release the pressure of a blood clot that has formed on her frontal lobe. She made it through surgery last night and is now in a induced coma in the intensive care unit at a hospital across the country. A rush of emotions has been coming since learning of this last night. I have a flight out early in the morning. I have been praying for her and my family throughout the day. Read more >
