Knitting Round & Round Until It Becomes a Hat

In the last couple of weeks I  have started a couple of knitting projects, but have not gotten very far.  I have a pair of socks and an afghan sitting on the needles.  I think I will frog the afghan.  I'm not sure about the marigold socks.  Read more >

Tell Me What You Think...Isn't The Customer Always Right?

I received a phone call this evening asking me for a bit of advice. Here's what happened.     After a four hour drive, he checked into a well known hotel chain.    He was facing another four hour drive back, but he wouldn't be able to leave until well after midnight.   He decided to try to get a few hours sleep so that he would be up for the drive home.     He was placed in a room which was on the first floor, next to a conference room.  Read more >

About Me:

I have been retired for nine years.   There are times when I think I retired too soon.   But mostly I am happy to have the freedom that I have.

Now part of my time is filled with the joys of being a grandmother to five.

My daughter and her husband have a daughter who is 7 years old and a son who is 3-1/2.

I have two sons.   My older son and his wife are parents to a little 10 month old boy.

*A lot has happened since I joined BlogHer in Oct.  My son passed away on Dec. 5, 2011 from colon cancer.  he was 36 years old.

My youngest son and his wife have two little boys, age 3-1/2 and 2.

I have been a crocheter for over 30 years.   A few years ago, I was bitten by the knitting bug and I enjoy that immensely.

For the past 15 years I have been attending estate sales and auctions looking for vintage costume jewelry which I then sell on eBay.

Ross and I  moved down to Jersey shore after I retired.   The area is known as the Pine Barrens.

The area has grown a little since we first moved here.   But still it seems that where ever we want to go it takes an hour to get there.
