It's been a long time. Stress will do that to me sometimes. I disappear into the black hole. I can't find a way to climb out. Then I do. Mom. Mom has been falling. it seems that for a weeks on end I am getting calls from the care center that she has fallen again. They have alarms on her wheel chair and on her bed, yet somehow she keeps standing and then, of course, she falls. Thankfully nothing is broken yet, but I see it happening. I pray she will understand that she cannot stand up on her own. She needs assistance.  Read more >

About Me: 

I am married to my best friend and the love of my life Mr. Phil.  I am mom to Dylan and Zak.  I am a retired social worker who decided to try law school, but had a change along the way when my mom, who suffers from Alzheimer's moved in with us.  I now take care of mom 24/7.  This is what is best for all of us.  It's not easy and most of the time it's not even fun, but it is good, and it is a great life.

Mr. Phil and I also have an assortment of fur children.  3 dogs: Bear, Lucy, Harley and 2 cats: Zoomer and Matilda.  They keep us active and laughing.  They also allow us to sleep on the bed, with them, so we don't have to sleep in the crates.

I love to read.  I have a Kindle that is just about full and I've already ordered a new one so I can keep going strong.  Did I say how much I love to read.  I also love to cook.  I fancy myself a chef of sorts.  I can't bake though, it's too much of a science for me; I like t cook and add a little of this or that to the pot.

I love photography and Mr. Phil just bought me a new camera and all sorts of camera toys, including 3 lenses.  I'm taking a digital photo class to hopefully learn to take a good picture.
