I'm a single (divorced) mom to two beautiful Chinese-born daughters, now ages 13 and 10.  I am a cancer survivor, a corporate America survivor, a marriage survivor and a graduate school survivor. I have a good relationship with my girls' dad, such as it is, and enjoy watching the direction his life has taken, too, even as I'm relieved not to be involved.  I have a circle of amazing friends, both women and men, who keep me laughing and almost sane as I wander through the last year of my forties, and I even date occasionally.  I work for a non-profit and hope to start my own when the economy rights itself one day, focusing on diversity and cultural communication. Writing is my passion and watching my daughters become who they've always been meant to be inspires my days.  I make jewelry and paint for fun, I have a dastardly sweet tooth, I'm completely disorganized and I procrastinate regularly.
