Ostracized in Suburbia

What is it about the suburb’s that makes them so “family friendly”? Is it the lack of crime? Well yea. Is it the pretty green lawns and cut bushes? Maybe for some. Is it the fantastically rated school distract? About Me:

Hey there I'm  Melissa and I am new to the great big world of the blogosphere. I decided to join in to reach out and meet new people and hopefully friends. I'm in my early 30's and a newly wed with a 3 yr old son. I live in the what can sometimes be described as a judgement toxic suburb of Austin, TX. So in an effort to find a wider community of women I am reaching out into cyber space. I love animals (especially big dogs, aka Mastiff's), still enjoy getting dressed up to have a night on the town, I have a weakness for cheesy TV shows (what I call crack TV), and Orange Dream Machine smoothies from Jumba Juice. I first met and became friends with my husband in the 7th grade and our 3 yr old has better fashion sense then my husband does sometimes. I love books, I'm a poli. sci. nerd, and although I love the beach I adamantly avoid getting a tan for fear of premature aging (sunblock is your friend). And just in case you hadn't guessed yet I'm a fairly high energy quirky kinda girl.
