Well hello. I know, I know. It's been forever. There are a few reasons I haven't written. I'm sure you can guess some of them (I'm in France, bitch!). My aunt passed away less than a week after I arrived in France. I felt really guilty about not being there and it was extremely hard to get through that first day by myself surrounded by people barely even knew me, let alone my aunt. In the weeks that have followed I think I'm adjusting well. I've found a good group of friends who keep me busy and don't mind when I just need to be alone.  Read more >

I started to write a post about how stupid New Year's resolutions are but then I found out that my aunt is dying so I need to get this out. I guess everyone is dying, but my aunt is dying in two months. After making it an entire lifetime without really losing anyone close to me it seems like everyone is peacing out now. My boyfriend's sister just died on December 15 of complications with her liver. I never write anything about her because I don't feel comfortable putting his family's business out there but they're really close and it's been a hard holiday season without her.  Read more >

Christmas is only 11 days away. I'm one of those people who plans for Christmas all year round (making little notes when someone casually mentions something they'd love to have) but procrastinates when it comes to actually pulling the trigger... er, buying presents. Obviously no matter how much I'd like to get some people a bullet to the head (I should probably just stop writing now) I'm not shooting anyone for the holidays.
