For nearly thirty years, Father Maurice Chase would hand out dollar bills to people on Los Angeles’ skid row. “Father Dollar”, as Chase was called, stood on the sidewalk among the poorest of the city’s poor. Income Outcome: Income Disparity in the US

A recent study of median net worth conducted by the Washington Post and the University of Michigan shows that the income of members of the US House rose from $280,000 in 1984 to $725,000 in 2009, while the median income of US families over that same time fell from $20,600 in 1984 to $20,500 in 2009. Falling Out of Lovve

I think if you’re an enthusiastic reader there’s sometimes a tendency to fall in love a little bit with authors. Not in a sexual way, but in the way where you enjoy spending time with them, where you miss them when they’re not around and find yourself looking forward to spending time with them again. Because of this bond, so too can we feel betrayal from our favorite authors. Lawrence Block is a very well-respected crime/mystery writer who has been creating stories for a long time.
