Culture Camp

Summer is the time for culture camps designed to present some bits of first country culture to international adoptees.  Some people think culture camps are great.  Some people don't.  Last summer, our family attended an Ethiopian culture camp in Wisconsin.  For the most part, it was great.  Most importantly, Violet and Blueberry had a great time. What was great about culture camp for us?For Blueberry, who's not Ethiopian-born, camp was fun for the time she spent with friends, for the time she spent in the lake, and the dance party one night.  Read more >

About Me:

I'm a single mom to two amazing daughters who joined me through international adoption.  I'm a single mom by choice, adopting after divorce.  I blog at http://creatingourjoy.blogspot.com.  My blog serves several purposes for me...a family journal, a place to share pictures and stories, a way to connect with other adoptive families, a place to talk about my own thoughts on adoption and other life issues.  I've blogged at other blogs over the years but switched to this one to keep it anonymous as my daughters are getting older.
