I was born in Jackson Heights - Queens, New York to Czechoslovakian immigrant parents. At the ripe old age of five, I was taught by my mother how to cook the cherished family recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. With inspiration from her and a passion for cooking, my first book, "An Airstream Travel Trailer's Storybook of Recipes, Vol. 1," came to be and is based on my popular epicurean travelogue blog titled, "just5moreminutes.com."

I currently reside in Washington State, am married with two children and enjoy exploring and photographing America while developing recipes with ingredients sourced from local farms and markets found along her way.

When we are not traveling in our Airstream I enjoy blogging about our home life where I enjoy my passion for sharing, gardening and photography.
