Thesis not required for degree "Yeah. Right!!!"

CLASS! and Graduate "Problem in leiu of Thesis" Okay, so, I really don't like that there has to be a paper written for every degree, even if the degree doesn't require a thesis. For example, music performance master's students have to spend countless hours learning and rehearsing for their final recital that is required for the degree. Then, because a paper is required for the degree, they still have to write a minimum of 40 pages about the recital.  Read more >

Automaic doors and social standards

I found a study several weeks ago about social interactions with technology that have now been made a more permanent faction of our lives. This study revolved around automatic doors and how we socially respond to them. Apparrently, we have been so trained in automatic door usage that we will stand in front of an automatic door and wait for it to open rather than walk over to the non-automatic door as soon as it becomes clear that the automatic door won't open.  Read more >
