I was very disappointed this weekend to read that the family of Dr Martin L King is charging a $800,000 fee for the use of his words. The idea is to build a monument, centrally located in Washington DC, to honor him and his vision, which I think just proves how far we have come as a nation and as individuals embracing the ideas he fought so hard to promote. The organization building the monument is looking for private donations thru publishing and distributing brochures, the quotes by MLK are to be used in those brochures. Read more >

Keeping kids busy or keeping them too busy

Our life is crazy, both my husband and I have busy, demanding jobs, he is in finance and I with a start up company (PicApp) and working at a start up means that the wheels in your head never stop turning, which is positive in a sense that it's stimulating and exciting but also very exhausting. Point is that comes Friday evening I want to relax and move slower. Read more >
