Stubborn

My 4 year old daughter is stubborn. She is charming, polite, disarmingly verbal and funny, but she is also incredibly stubborn.This stubbornness shows itself in various ways (including her continuing refusal to use the toilet). While her (non) potty-training is annoying, it is only one example of her stubbornness. Despite loving to dance and twirl in our living room, at the park and the grocery store, every time she's faced with participatig in a dance class, she balks. No, she says, I don't want to. About Me: 

I am a part-time health policy wonk, full time wife and mother living in Oregon. I laugh and cry easily, clip recipes from the local paper's food section, and amazed that twins isn't harder.

I blog at nonlineargirl.com, where I write about my children, craftiness, Portland and photography. For some reason the most commented upon thing I have written was about how dumb I find the idea of "skinny jeans" for toddlers. Dozens of irate mothers of skinny toddlers have commented anonymously that I am a jackass. 

 

Surprising fact: Standing on a freeway overpass with a large sign tied to my wrist helped get me into health policy grad school.
