Am I limber yet??

About two weeks ago I finally decided to commit to think about committing to practicing yoga at least twice a week. The thing is...I can barely touch my toes. My quads and hammies are super tight from running and cycling and I don't always stretch properly afterwords. Rest Day

Today I did something I rarely do...I listened to my body and took a rest day. I woke up this morning and signed up for Saturday morning spin class for Saturday morning. My plan was to then get ready and go to the gym like I usually do. I was just not feeling it this morning, so I decided to listen to my body and rest. About Me: 
Hi there and thanks for stopping by my blog! My name is Angela and I am a 28 year old event planner with a passion for exercise and healthy eating. I LOVE food and I LOVE working out. I know...call me crazy, but I look forward to my 5:45AM spin classes. The first running event I ever completed was a marathon! Currently, I am trying to become the healthiest person I can be. I struggle, like many others, to have a positive body image. I am determined to stop criticizing myself and comparing myself to others. I have never been extremely overweight. I put on about 10lbs my first two years of college due to an excess of drinking and eating too many late night nacho's. Since then, I have lost about 15lbs and am smaller than I was in high school. Bear with me as I try to kick my sugar addiction. I could eat a plate full of frosting if it was in front of me...no I am NOT kidding, I think I have a serious problem! I have dabbled in veganism and let's just say I never really got out of the shallow end of the pool on that one. I don't eat any red meat, I love fish, and if I eat chicken it has to be organic and free of hormones and all that other gross stuff! I am very interested in nutrition and plan on taking some classes at the local community college soon. If I had to go back and do it all again I would have majored in nutrition in college and become a certified fitness professional. I do LOVE my job though, it is crazy at times, but totally fits my type A-personality. Who knows...maybe someday I will finally get my spinning instructor certification!? So why am I starting this blog and thinking that anyone will read it? I am writing and rambling for my own personal greed...I want to be healthier in body & mind, I want to inspire myself (and hopefully others :) ) to try new things, and I want to get a grip and find my balance with food & life!
