Carrie

I am Carrie, the poet behind poet in the pantry. A mom on a mission to find bliss in the kitchen. At least, as long as my kids allow me to. More of a baker than a cook, you'll find I love experimenting--baking is sort of like a mad scientist experiment, anyway, isn't it? It doesn't always turn out the way I plan, but that's part of the fun. I have been combining rhyme with reason for taste bud pleasing since 2010.

I Love NYC…And My Husband

There are certain advantages to being in Northwest Connecticut. Like being able to enjoy a balance of rural and suburban life in my commute to work alone. Cows and convenience stores–we have ‘em! Another is having (small) mountains and ocean within an hour’s drive (if not less). But one of my favorite pluses is being just a little over 2 hours from New York City. ...more
