I discovered God and I am so excited to tell anyone and everyone who is willing to listen. I should start out by telling you that I used to be what people would call a 'nonbeliever'. My profile status for religion would be marked 'agnostic'. I questioned religion and anyone who followed it. The thought process I had was anyone who followed an organized religion must be brain washed because they blindly follow and act as sheep. Like a lot of people I felt there was a higher power, but didn't believe in going to church and reading the Bible.  Read more >

I have a 15 year old niece. My sister's first born. My sister gave birth to her when she was 15 and like a lot of teen mothers she did not make good choices. A few years and 2 more kids later she lost custody to all 3 of them and chose a life of drugs over being a mother. My niece ended up finding a semi-permanent foster home where she lived for 7 years. During this time I maintained contact with my niece and we became very close. Around the age of 9 she started spending 2-3 weekends a month with me.  Read more >

It takes every ounce of energy for me not to say anything to her. I'm told it's not my place to be in the middle since they are not my children. I have to rely on him to get the message across to her.  Read more >

My buddy, my buddy, my buddy and me. I haven't had the greatest day at work today. Patients sick and dying can be depressing some days more than others. What's getting me through is thinking about my 16 month old son.  Read more >
