When life keeps waking you up.

It's been a year since I set this account  up. Not that I don't have plenty to say. This past year has been crazy for me. It feels like the older I get the faster life speeds by me. So many things are happening in my life right now. I find myself looking back to my past regretting not doing things differently. I'm not sure if it is maturity or menopause. (More on this later). My children are grown and working on their lives. None of them have children yet. This is good for them but difficult for me. I am excited at the thought of being a Grandma.  Read more >

Here we go. This is my first post here. I can feel a monster inside wanting to get out. I have so much to say, but never wanted to say it to anyone. I am coming up on my 47th birthday. I can't say I'm happy, but I'm not sad. I have just thought a lot about what it means to grow old.  Read more >

About Me: 

I am so many things. It would be easier to tell you what I am not. I am not a stay at home mom. My children are grown. I don't clip coupons, I don't drive a minivan, I don't read People
Magazine. I don't watch "Lost",  I don't do "Palates".  I don't have a dog or a therapist, I don't have a iPhone. I am at the stage in my life where I can think about me now. I just don't have time. That is something else I don't have. Time!

What I Am is, I am a woman in what is still very much a man's world.

I am a mother. My children are grown, but are still my children.

I am a wife. This alone is a full time part of my life.

I am a American. I don't know why this matters. but I am glad to be an American!

I am a hard working employee! This is very important to me!

I love my family, I love the color pink, I love my pets, I love Hello Kitty, Ice cream, and time alone.

 I wear socks to bed, and I hate to wear panty hose. I still say "cool" and I still have hope for World Peace.

All this and much more make me the person, the woman I am today.

I don't claim to be a writer, and I admit my grammar is bad. I just want to put to words my thoughts. These may be things I think of while driving in my car, or in the shower washing my hair. Lets see how this goes. Hop on for the ride.
