About Me:

Chief cook and bottle-washer at theinterioREvolution, editor Rachel Hulan, IIDA, has been an interior designer for over 12 years. An active participant in the green design community, Rachel is a Certified Green Building Professional through Build it Green, as well as being a member of the Sustainable Homes Committee for the local chapter of the USGBC. She is deeply committed to promoting awareness of sustainable design, frequently speaking to schools and civic groups on the benefits and solutions available with green building practices. She has also taught Green Interior Design classes at CSUF and CSULB. Magazines such as Orange Coast, Riviera, Coast, OC Metro, and 944 have profiled Rachel, and she is frequently sought out by magazine writers for her insights into the world of sustainable design. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Interior Designers Institute, Newport Beach, where she graduated with honors. She has also passed the NCIDQ exam, (National Council for Interior Design Qualification), and proudly holds certificate #025185. Currently residing in a lovely historic home in Santa Ana, California, Rachel is grateful for her ever-patient husband, and their precocious, nature loving, 8 year old son, who is her inspiration every day for trying to create a better world.
