About Me:
Britt Michaelian, M.A. is the award winning filmmaker of the childhood medical emergency DVD, Care for Kids: The Essential Guide to Preparing Caregivers and author of Secrets of the Safety Goddess: A Modern Safety Guide for Busy Parents (both available on Amazon.com). A mom, artist, blogger, speaker, and entrepreneur, Britt is a family safety columnist for Hot Moms Club and has been featured as a child safety expert on Fox, ABC and NTV as well as numerous radio shows across the country, including Mom Talk Radio, Babies and Moms Radio and The Moms Everywhere Show.
Britt received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago
in 1996, graduated from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2002 with a
Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy, and received a
certification to work in the hospital setting from the Institute for
Health and Healing at CPMC in San Francisco where she worked with
families in the pediatric unit before founding Responsible Family
Company in 2007.
Inspired by her work with families in the hospital, Britt’s mission became to educate and empower parents to keep kids safe, healthy and happy through her innovative products and workshops. She leads family and child safety workshops throughout the country to spread the word about the importance of parental safety education and raises awareness about the incidence of preventable injuries (the #1 cause of death) in children.
