My parents are my best friends. Ever. Since my mom homeschooled me as a kid, she and I are the ones who usually end up having really deep conversations while sitting on the kitchen floor in the middle of the night. My mother, however, is in Disneyland this week (and for that I am incredibly jealous of her), so my dad and I ended up having a long heart-to-heart about friendship, starting over, and housecleaning the other night. Since my conversations with my dad are usually about music and the bizarre people at my church and bad jokes, it was very refreshing.  Read more >

I've been thinking about blogging for a long time, but for some reason, have kept putting it off. I think I've somehow tricked myself into believing that no one is interested in anything I might have to say. About Me: 

Hm, well first off, I think it's rather pathetic that I can't think of much to say about myself at the moment. I'm 19 years old, studying Suzuki violin pedagogy, and working on a rather impromptu album. I'm a singer/songwriter, and am currently involved in one of the most insane and awesome challenges ever: Writing 50 songs in 90 days. 

I enjoy reading, writing, pondering, daydreaming, laughing, drawing, and a lot of other things that end in "ing." Life is awesome.
