How to Deal When You Have More Month Than Money

Man

I look around and see a lot of people hurting financially. I hate that. Some have lost their jobs, others have made a financial mess for themselves, and both are in fear of what the future holds. At any rate, here we are. We need to skinny-up and get our own house in order before sending money to another person’s house.  Read more >

Are you planning a vacation this year? Where are you going? What are you doing? Do you have any simple tips to share? We just got back from vacating in the Black Hills of South Dakota. BEAUTIFUL. Here's a few of my tips: 1. Pick a family friendly destination. 2. Drive instead of fly. 3. Do some history recon of the area. 4. Choose housing that fits your needs and budget. 5. Eat in one meal a day. 6. Find coupons or ask or discounts. 7. Check out special events for the area. 8. Don't forget the camera. 9. Journal your days.  Read more >

I've thought about this simplify thing all day... I really think it all boils down to boundaries. If you have boundaries, you have already thought out what you'll do in most situations. At least it's true in my life. When my life gets too busy and complicated, it's because I've ignored my boundaries. What do you think? Sandhill Sis  Read more >

About Me:

I am a lady of luxury who, most of the time, masquerades simply as a stay at home mom. I’ve been married to my banjo playing, soul mate, Ben, since 1995. We bypassed living in town for a simple life in an old farm house, that smells of two boys, and sits in the middle of a wheat field in Kansas.

Ben and I decided early on, one paycheck (whatever the size) is simply ENOUGH. (more...)

Come and visit me at http://reclaimsimpilcity.com

Discover how rich and hilarious life can be when it's simple. Tales and tips on making money mind, riding the recycle, simple food, homegrown music, book reviews, gettin' organized and more. It's your life...simply reclaim it!

You'll probably need counseling when you leave, but it will be fun!

Sit Deep and Come Often!

An interesting fact about me: I once tried to teach my billy goats Corky and Fred to ice skate. (We were going to be the 'Two goats and a gal' superstars.) They made it as far as the edge of the pond. Then their toes spread far apart and I had to roll them off the pond. By then my perfect hair and make-up was ruined and my dreams of being famous dashed.
