I look around and see a lot of people hurting financially. I hate that. Some have lost their jobs, others have made a financial mess for themselves, and both are in fear of what the future holds. Are you planning a vacation this year? Where are you going? What are you doing? Do you have any simple tips to share? We just got back from vacating in the Black Hills of South Dakota. BEAUTIFUL. Here's a few of my tips: 1. Pick a family friendly destination. 2. Drive instead of fly. 3. Do some history recon of the area. 4. Choose housing that fits your needs and budget. 5. Eat in one meal a day. 6. Find coupons or ask or discounts. 7. Check out special events for the area. 8. Don't forget the camera. 9. Journal your days.  Read more >

I've thought about this simplify thing all day... I really think it all boils down to boundaries. If you have boundaries, you have already thought out what you'll do in most situations. An interesting fact about me: I once tried to teach my billy goats Corky and Fred to ice skate. (We were going to be the 'Two goats and a gal' superstars.) They made it as far as the edge of the pond. Then their toes spread far apart and I had to roll them off the pond. By then my perfect hair and make-up was ruined and my dreams of being famous dashed.
