The seemingly good news: It's operable. The not so good news is the tumor is growing along the lining at the back of the breast, very close to my chest cavity, and it has grown since Radiology did the scans of it. Their concern at this point is going in to do surgery without knowing the extent of it, and it spreading into my lymph nodes, and possibly into my lungs and/or other main organs. In less than 48 hours I will be undergoing a Stereotactic Mammotome Biopsy, to be followed by surgery once we get the pathology report.  Read more >
