Thanksgiving and football go together like Thanksgiving and turkey. Seriously! Ask any sports fan or anyone from Detroit or Dallas and they can confirm this. For me, this is a dream come true - mashed potatoes AND family sanctioned football watching? This is my nirvana. I don't know how you feel about football, but if you are going to be watching any NFL games this Thanksgiving Day, here are a few things that you might find helpful:...more
Thanksgiving dinner can get expensive. Think about it: Whether you are serving dinner for two or 22, most people are buying turkey, vegetables, potatoes, dressing, wine, cranberries and pie, at the very least. Fine. Vegetarians don't need the turkey and a lot of you can do without the wine and pie, but a traditional Thanksgiving dinner can be pricey....more
Madness, I tell you. They call the NCAA basketball tournament March Madness for a reason. I have never seen a tournament with the kinds of upsets that we saw yesterday.Yesterday morning a total of four 15 seeds had beaten the 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Ever. It hadn't been done since Hampton beat Iowa State way back in 2001.On Friday it happened twice. Before most people even got home from work Norfolk State (15) had upset Missouri (2) 86-84, then later that evening Lehigh (15) won a pretty convincing game over perennial basketball powerhouse Duke (2)....more

Tonight is The Miami Heat host the Dallas Mavericks in game one of the NBA Finals. No, you didn't accidentally stumble upon a post from 2006. Five years later these two teams will meet in the finals again, but that doesn't mean it will be a rerun. These teams look pretty different in 2011....more
If you think golf is boring, you clearly weren't following the 2011 Masters.Going into the final day in Augusta, Ireland's Rory McIlroy looked like he owned it. He had a four stoke lead going into the final round, but his putting killed him on Sunday. If you want a green jacket you've got to have a long game and a short game. Then it looked like Tiger Woods was going to come up and take the championship from McIlroy. Tiger had a few beautiful shots, but he couldn't bring it home either. After six three putts, Woods ended up tying for fourth place....more

Last week Queen Latifah and AOL announced that they will be partnering up for a web series.
According to Nsenga Burton on The Root, "Queen Latifah will produce and star in an AOL Web series about sports, entertainment and entrepreneurialism, which will be overseen by Arianna Huffington, co-founder of the Huffington Post."
That is a lot to take in, and what exactly does it mean?
