I am a writer, photographer, sustainable food nut, family biking evangelist, and military wife living in Portland, Oregon. For several years, I worked as programming manager for AOL's Weblogs, Inc., and have been blogging on my own site since 2004. I launched BloggingStocks in early 2006 and WalletPop in December 2007. I'm a co-founder of urbanMamas, a site to encourage community among Portland mamas. Having done the group blogging thing both professionally and for fun and community-building, I can't say enough about how wonderful it is to blog with other women around the world, and to forge a new kind of community both in my own neighborhood and in the rarefied air of cyberspace.
