I'm a television writer/producer (currently an Executive Producer on the Fox show "Lie to Me") as well as a young adult author.  My writing partner, Elizabeth Craft, and I have written on several shows, most notably 'Angel' and 'The Shield.'  We created a very short-lived show called 'Women's Murder Club' for ABC.  And we've written two YA books, "Bass Ackwards and Belly Up," and the sequel, "Footfree and Fancyloose."  The books are HUGE in Denmark!  So they tell us.  And still in print in the US, so that's something.

I recently started a blog, www.starfishenvy.typepad.com, all about my ongoing, somewhat tortured, and very exciting (to me) process of trying to decide if I'm going to become a single mom by choice, and if I am... how?  No easy answers, but it's fun to write about.

Also, I'm an avid knitter, a new Kindle owner, and the caretaker of three very large dogs (all rescues of one kind or another).
