About Me:

I went to college with great expectations.  I was majoring in Business & Economics, saw myself taking the West Coast by storm, strutting around in heels all day, working seven days a week and making lots of money.

Then God called me to ministry.  I should have screened my calls.  But I didn't.  I changed my major and started studying theology.  I prepared myself for seminary.  I figured I could still work seven days a week and take the church by storm.  That's still something, right?

Then a met a boy.  No ... I met THE boy.  A boy that made me obsessively check my e-mail every 15 minutes.  A boy that made me lunge for my phone every time it rang.  A boy from central Pennsylvania who wrestled, hunted and fished - three things that had always made this girl from Connecticut clench her jaw and raise her eyebrows.  And yet, when he did talked about them, they almost seemed magical.

Two and half years later, I walked into my church, clutched my daddy's arm and walked towards this boy.  I promised to love him and be faithful to him.  I put a ring on his finger and squeezed his hand tightly.  I said, "I do" and ran out of the church thinking I was the luckiest girl in the world.

My first year of marriage has been incredible.  For the first time in my life, I feel beautiful, powerful and confident.  I love cooking and cleaning with my husband - for each other.  We have a cat who we treat like a child.  Eventually our family might grow - but not right now.

Now I am a pleasant mixture of all phases of my life.  God is calling me to be a minster, but God is also calling me to be a wife to my husband, a friend to my awesome amigas, a daughter and a sister and - amazingly - a WOMAN.
