Today we are thrilled to open submissions for one of the centerpieces of BlogHer's annual conference: The 6th annual Voices of the Year!
The Voices of the Year initiative (or VOTY, as we sometimes affectionately abbreviate it) gives the entire BlogHer community a chance to spotlight and celebrate the work that touched us most deeply over the past year. Up to 100 well-written, thought-provoking, heart-tugging, and laughter-inducing posts and visuals will be honored as the 2013 Voices of the Year online, including one People's Choice Honoree per category, and then in person on Friday July 26th at the 9th annual BlogHer Conference in Chicago, IL....more

Today we are excited to open up nominations for the BlogHer 2013 International Activist Scholarship Program!The International Activist Scholarship was born in 2008, when BlogHer won the Anita Borg Social Impact Award from the Anita Borg Institute. The Award came with $10K in prize money. The BlogHer annual conference may be a two day conference, but it's really a three day experience. We began building up the Thursday program two years ago, to provide more intensive subject matter focus in smaller groups, for attendees wanting to ease into the main conference events on Friday and Saturday.In 2011, we introduced Pathfinder Day and it was so warmly received by conference attendees that that in 2012, we added HealthMinder Day to the Thursday schedule. This year, we're pleased to dedicate a day of programming to yet another key focus for bloggers, and today we're opening registration for what is now three pre-conference programming days at BlogHer ’13:...more
