About Me:

I am originally from Texas, but I've made my home in Nebraska for more than 15 years now.  I am the Founder and Executive Director of the   Autism Women's Network

I actively consult for numerous research projects assisting with advancements toward understanding challenges faced by autistic adults with employment related issues.  I recently began participating with the Autism Action Partnership's  focus group comprised of individuals on the autism spectrum who develop ways to improve autism-related services in Nebraska.

I testified before the Nebraska Legislative Committee  to advocate for the passage of a Bill to aid women with the inclusion of their children in Protection Orders.  This Bill was enacted into law and Protection Orders can now be extended to minor children of mothers in abusive relationships in the state of Nebraska.

I produce and host the AWN Internet Radio Show .  I am active within the autism community, sharing my experiences as it relates to the unique qualities of females on the autism spectrum via conferences, support groups, and workshops.

In my spare time, I enjoy research, writing, and spending quality time with my family.  I am a mother of two teenagers, as well as two adults with families of their own.  I am diagnosed with Asperger's and I am parenting a child on the autism spectrum as well.

Profession:
