Hi my name is Michelle and I’m a Texas girl. I have traveled the world and experienced food from all kinds of walks of life. I love to cook and share my recipes with family and friends. I hope you enjoy what I have to offer. I love to experiment with new flavors and use my husband and kids as the test subjects! They love it…sometimes!! I am a US Navy Veteran turned stay at home Mom of three. Tyler is 7, Alyssa is 5 and Kameron is 1. I served eight years in the Navy and loved every second of it. I was missing my husband and kids way too much so it was time to stay good bye to the Navy and hello to motherhood and wifehood. While in the Navy I wasn’t able to cook the meals I wanted. I was either too busy working or on deployment away from the family months at a time. Now that I am home all the time I love to cook and love tying new recipes. My family loves all the goodies that come from the our kitchen and I love being able to make them happy and create memories that will have forever. I started 5 forks in November 2008. The main reason I started blogging was because my husband said I needed to get a hobby, so I starting thinking. I read several blogs and thought I could start my own blog and start taking pictures just for fun! So that’s what I did!
