My blog will not be a tutorial or guide because I do not think black women need to be taught how to mother. Nurturing is in our nature. For years we have carried the weight on our shoulders and held it all together. Alternatively, it will be a space for black women to talk because in my short time that I have resided here on Planet Earth, I find we, as black women, hold so much in. We are sometimes everything in the household and we grin and bear it-with no outlet to seek solace. Even with our girlfriends, we try to act composed as if we have it all together. Read more >
