Responses to Tragedy

This afternoon I was catching up on another episode of Awake (the fourth episode in the series). In this story line Detective Michael Britten interacts in both of his realities with a woman named Kate who babysat years ago for his now teenage son Rex (who is alive in one reality and dead in the other). About Me:

I love to write and have been blogging at Bereaved and Blessed (formerly Four of a Kind) since April 2007.

I tweet @BereavedBlessed.

I am a Domestic engineer with 3 children (2 here and 1 in Heaven) trying to live mindfully and find joy in the journey after dealing with secondary infertility and pregnancy loss for over 5 years. I have been married to my college sweetheart since 2000 and we live in Chicago, Illinois with our eight year old son and two year old daughter.

I see myself as a “wounded healer” and I am passionate about helping others who have also struggled with infertility and loss work through their grief and make some good come from the tragedies that they have experienced.

I am also an American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.) certified Group Fitness Instructor and teach classes part time at a church in our neighborhood. I love to exercise, run and practice yoga, all of which have been very therapeutic for me over the years on my journey through infertility and loss.
