First Craft Fair; Reasonable Expectations

     I am truly having the most fun time ever crafting.  Seriously.  I had a craft fair to prep for this month (my first!) so I have spent the last month creating, imagining new things, hand sewing while my husband and I watched TV, and reading about how to be successful at my first fair.  I was prepared for it to be insanely busy or for it to be a complete failure because I didn't know what I was doing.        I didn't plan for what actually happened.  Read more >

Three Kids Four and Under Makes for a Crazy Day!

It goes something like this:  I am pulling out of the parking lot a few days ago and the van starts to shudder and shake.  My oldest yells, "Did we run out of gas?!"  That would be a negative.  Unfortunately, the van has developed some new dysfunction.  So, my husband knows of this transmission shop that's really good, but it's really far away.  Like over an hour, far away.  I'm not super happy about this, but I load the kids up, all our stuff up, drive the hour plus, and drop it off at the shop.   Read more >

My oldest son is four and a half.  When he was a baby, he was given his routine immunizations at the hospital, and then 3 more sets after that.  When I first heard that some people didn't vaccinate their children (which never occurred to me), I must admit, I kind of thought they were nuts.  I talked to more and more people who didn't vaccinate their kids, and not because I was seeking them out either.  There just were a lot of people around me who were talking about it.  So, I started reading, talking back, watching, listening.  The more information I received,  Read more >
