What are you most afraid of? You know what I’m talking about – the one fear that grips you so tightly, you lose your breath. Yes, that one…. being ALONE. Lately, all I’ve heard about is this person or that person is willing to do anything and everything to not be alone. Person A is moving to the Carolinas with her unfaithful boyfriend so that she’s not alone. Person B took back her unreliable techie husband, but has a boyfriend on the side so that she certainly won’t be alone. Person C would rather stay in a status quo relationship than to be alive…. and alone.  Read more >

I was getting the children ready this morning, thinking of all the things I have to do and I literally exhausted myself while pouring milk. I had to vacuum the entire house, fold the enormous pile of clothes, touch up the paint, re-do the cedar chips in the backyard, put the equipment back in its place, get more clients, plan the kids' birthdays.. and so forth, and so on. On my path to body transformation, I came across this article - "You Are What You Eat" by Kelly McGonigal Ph.D. I found it interesting enough to blog about because it's not suggesting DENYING yourself food, but taking a different approach altogether. Dr. McGonigal suggests consuming food that reflects who you want to be.  Read more >

I am a Businessmama of two children – an 8 year old girl & 20-month old boy. I live in the suburbs almost 100 miles south of Los Angeles. I’m far enough away from traffic, but close enough to visit any day of the week. I am known to be a huge nerd, fitness-obsessed, a product junkie, and a purse whore. As of 2010, I am navigating modern life while flying solo again – but this time with a GPS. Ha! My background is in public relations/journalism, marketing, and the Internet. Earlier in my career, I was coding but as time went on, I migrated into producer roles.
