While not "based on a true story," The Help, inspired by the author's upbringing in the Jim Crow South has triggered much debate.Whose story is it?Who has the right to tell the story?No matter which perspective you take, it is an opportunity to learn more about the history of our world.Here are a few resources I found that added context and depth to the time period of “The Help.”  Read more >

Knitting with yarn made from recycled jeans

Librarian by day...

I became a Librarian not because I love books (doesn't everyone?!), but because I found my passion in helping people find things and how to make the most of the fabulous libraries of the world. Currently, I'm the Librarian at the Center for Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford.
