Teen Suicide Is Being Glamorized. Stop It.

I don’t know about all of you, but I’m tired of reading about gay kids killing themselves. And I don’t just mean the fact they’re doing it.I mean, of COURSE, I’m tired of it happening at all. It makes me seething mad to think there are kids out there being bullied to the point of killing themselves. Yes, I am tired of the very fact it happens. No doubt.  Read more >

Beyond the Birds and the Bees: "Mom, How Do Gay People Get Babies?"

Birds and Bees?

The other day my nine-year-old cocked his head over to one side, the way he does when he has a very serious question for me. About Me:

Find my blog at ReticentBitch.com

I’m a queer parent of 4 kiddos and wife to a fabulous genderqueer goofball whom I adore (most of the time), and we all live happily just outside of Seattle, WA. I am also a writer, both by profession and for fun, a total geek (have you seen my Yoda Vespa?), a grammar nerd, and a country-singing karaoke whore. But those are all mere snippets of who I am. I refuse to be defined by a handful of words, because people are so much more than that, right?

Profession:
Writer/Web Desiger
Location:
Seattle, WA
Employers:

I run my own business from home, Mod Content, which allows me to help support my family while giving me the gift of being home with my kids, at the same time.
