When your spouse is away... what routines do you do?

When your military spouse is on deployment, TDY, etc, what do you do to keep yourself going?  Do you have routines, rituals or something that changes when s/he is gone? I'll start, even though my husband has only been gone for two weeks.  Right now, he's not deployed, just at his new duty station while I stay behind to sell the house.   Read more >

Military Discounts

No one enters the military for the discounts.  There aren’t enough of them to make it worth it. But knowing that people recognize the sacrifices of our military men and women and their family is comforting. About Me: 

I’m a small-town woman who fell in love with a Navy man while he was on shore duty in Michigan. And then I decided to join the Navy Reserves as an officer. On March 21, 2009, we were married… just in time for him to return to sea duty in the great state of Washington. Without me.

You see, I own a house not only in a bad economy, but in the worst economy in the United States. So until the house sells or I find a job in Washington, we will remain 2,300 miles apart.
