I am a first-time mother, amateur blogger, lawyer, contrarian, problem child, football fan, alcohol enthusiast, insufferable know-it-all and caffeine addict.  I blog about my daughter, and her fight with childhood cancer in the form of a rare brain tumor called ATRT, and about family, parenting, things that make me angry, children's books and anything else that crosses my mind. 

 One of these days, my family will force me to change "amateur blogger" to "blogging addict".
