  Did you step outside today? If you live in New York you would have felt a significant drop in temperature.  It was about 16 degrees. Brr! Yes, it is blistering cold.  I am complaining about the weather, too. My partner and I spent Saturday morning cutting coupons like the "coupon mom." Our goals: to become more aware, focused and cut our grocery spending in HALF. We started out with a bang until supermarket psychology foiled our plans, once again! Distracted by packaging and placement of products, we rounded out the week in last place with a whopping $300 total! What went wrong? First, we went hungry. A cup of tea (non-sweetened due to my South Beach Diet) poured into a clay creation created by one of the kids revived the circuits.  I stretched pushing the joints into high gear. About Me: 

I began the blog process personally in 2007.  I had stepped into a life battle between my ex and our child.  I wanted to heal and feel connection from others.  Blogging fit a purpose in my life AND helped me find direction. I discovered that blogging works if you work it! I met an admirer of my writing who also shared a similar life journey AND who lives in my old hometown. What are the odds? She gave me valuable advice and gave me directions to my present lawyer. 

Things happen for a reason. I won! Maybe I did not get everything, I would have prefered full custody. However, I gained more quality hours with my son.

Now I am here to promote my job: yourLI.com! I am blogging "money matters and family budgeting" for yourLI.com, which is a local Long Island website with thousands of local coupons and deals.
