This Father's Day, STEPS4HEALTH wants to encourage women to encourage the men in their lives to take care of themselves.

Screen

     Early detection of medical conditions, and prevention of them is key to good health! See your doctor for appropriate tests, appropriate for your age and medical history. Be screened for high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, and certain cancers as soon as possible. Your health insurance covers many of these tests. If not, check with your local county health department for free, or low cost health screenings.

Sweat

     Stay physically active everyday!  Keep your body moving throughout the day. Walking, taking the stairs increases your heart rate and improves blood circulation. Check with your doctor before starting a new exercise routine. It may be a little challenging at first, but follow your doctors orders and make small changes to your lifestyle to improve your overall health.

Shine

     Spread the word about how you achieved your health goals! Share your health success stories, in order to motivate and help others improve their health. Vow to maintain your good health and help others improve their health.
