Microsoft brings Experts...and free Vista add-ons
We told you about Ask the Experts Room #1 the other day, and now I'm going to describe the activities going on in Ask the Experts Room #2: The Windows Experience Lounge.
During the Ask the Experts segment on Day One (and any time on Day Two) you will have the opportunity to meet face to face with Microsoft bloggers, product managers, and marketing managers who will show you some of the cool (and productivity-enhancing) things your Windows PC can do for you and also discuss their approach to social media as a means to drive influencer engagement.
If you visit the Windows Experience Lounge you'll receive a complimentary Windows Vista Service Pack 1 kit, which in addition to Windows Vista Ultimate with Service Pack 1 includes Windows Live services and a 90-day trial of Windows Live OneCare.
The Microsoft team has set up a cutting-edge experience lounge environment that will provide you with the opportunity to see how that Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 and Windows Live can bring your online world together in one place. You’ll see some demos on new “fashion PC’s” that show new safety and mobility features, advanced digital entertainment capabilities, and improved reliability. The Microsoft Experts are on hand to help you learn how to make using your PC safer, more entertaining and more reliable. Ask the Experts how you can stay connected, be more productive and manage your digital memories.
The experts on hand include some familiar face to former BlogHer event attendees, including:
Ariel Stallings: Ariel was on the very popular Book to Blog and Back Again session at last year's BlogHer, but this year she's here in her capacity as one of Microsoft's blogging ambassadors.
Sara Ford spoke at BlogHer '06 about her community outreach blogging efforts on behalf of her home town...which was devastated in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. By day Sara is Program Manager for CodePlex.com, Microsoft’s open source project hosting site.
These familiar BlogHers will be joined by two additional Experts:
Ani Babaian is the Senior Product Manager for Webmaster & SEO tools with the Live Search team at Microsoft. Ani is also awaiting publication of her first book: “IT Girl’s Guide to becoming an Excel Diva.” It is due Aug. 11th 2008.
Steve Lindsay is one of Microsoft's Digital Lifestyle blogger who is featured on their On10 network, where he champions his passion for Windows Vista, Windows Media Center and Windows Home Server to tech enthusiasts.
Stay tuned for the list of folks setting up shop in our third and final Maximizing Your Social Media Presence Experts room, later this week.
