Milestones Achieved

I am happy to report that I have reached several milestones recently:

  • On Saturday, I finally reached 300 miles on my Nike+ Running app!300 Miles It has been a long journey.  I reached 200 miles in July 2012.  Although I have had several set backs since that time, I did not become discouraged.  Life happens.  I can accept that.  I have been able to keep it moving despite those temporary setbacks.
  • Also, I am proud to report that I have actually been running since the beginning of the month!  I have been running longer distances and I have set records for my fastest mile, 1K and 5K.  No more walking for me!
  • Last week, I registered for my first 5K race!  One of my fitness goals was to run my first 5K race during the Spring of 2013. On Sunday, May 5, I will participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.  I realized that if I did not actually register for a race, I would not start training.  You know how it goes.  I needed that extra motivation.  Why don't you run the race with me?
