All scrappers are not alike. First of all, are you buying a gift for a paper or digital scrapper? What is their style? What kinds of tools do they already have in their scrapbooking arsenal? Don't worry if you don't know the answers to any of these questions. Luckily, there are a few universal gifts for scrappers of all types.
Everyone loves getting a package in the mail. Scrappers are no exception. Sign up the scrapper in your life for a kit of the month club. Do a quick search and several will pop up in different price ranges like this one by Paper Lovelies.
Speaking of mail, get your scrapper a magazine subscription. Scrapbooks Etc, Creating Keepsakes, Memory Makers – every issue is full of inspiration and something for all types and styles of scrappers.
Classes are a great gift for scrappers. There is always something new to learn. If there is not a scrapbook store in the area, never fear, there are plenty of online classes to be had.
A cool tool is always a fun gift. Paper crafters always like cutting tools. Depending on your budget there are several options. A variety pack of paper edger scissors that cuts in different patterns is fun. The Sizzix Big Shot will cut not only paper but chipboard and felt. If you are wanting to spend the big bucks there are not too many scrappers who would turn up their nose at a Cricut Machine.
Most scrappers need letter stickers. I adore Thickers. They have a very retro feel and come in oodles of patterns and fonts.
Lawn Fawn has some of the cutest stamps this newbie scrapper has ever laid crafty eyes on. If Santa were to put the Say Cheese or Critters in the Forest stamp sets in my stocking he wouldn’t hear any complaints.
Jewelers can never have too many beads, painters can never have too much paint and scrappers can never have too much paper. Paperpacks are easily found at big box craft stores and will make almost any scrapper happy.
Etsy is seriously a one stop shop for everyone on your list, including scrappers. Digi and paper scrappers alike can find something on Etsy. A few of my favorites include Flavoree Papers, Lily Bimble, ToddDesign and Sahlin Studio.
Some people like their scrapbook pages nice and flat. Other people like them so full of texture you can barely close the pages of their scrapbook. For the latter check out Lisa Kettle’s Artfire store. So many wonderful kitschy embellishments.
If you don’t trust your own judgement gift certificates are always a safe bet. For a paper scrapper I suggest Two Peas in a Bucket. For a Digi Scrapper Jessica Sprague is the place to go. Also, remember crafters of all types love books for inspiration so don’t forget Amazon.
