Many religious organizations have taken to social sites like YouTube to spread their message. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, often referred to as the Mormon Church, released a video showcasing blogger Stephanie Nielson of NieNie Dialogues.
In it, Stephanie recounts life after the plane crash and how her faith has been an integral part of her recovery.
She also describes her take on her new life:
“As women we want to be beautiful and attractive and I struggle with that. But I also know that it’s not everything. I’m just grateful I’m here on this earth and that I have the opportunity to be a mother and to do the things I love & enjoy. I just view my role now as more divine… To me beauty and motherhood are one.”
On blogging, her mother shares:
"When Stephanie was able to come out of her coma, she didn't want anything to do with the computer. She didn't even want to talk about a blog because she wasn't able to type... but then her story evolved."
Stephanie says:
"I first started my blog in 2005, I was living in New Jersey. I think it all started with Elder Balick's talk that he gave about the internet and how we could use it to good use - it sort of set the scene for what ultimately I really wanted to do with the blog."
