Pegged as a romantic comedy, "New Year's Eve" is director Gary Marshall's follow up to his film, "Valentine's Day." With an all-star ensemble cast and endless cameos, "New Year's Eve" intertwines numerous storylines about singles and couples as they prepare for New Year's Eve in New York City. Heavies in the cast include Oscar winners Robert De Niro, Hillary Swank and Halle Berry. You can also expect to see Zac Efron, Sarah Jessica Parker and many, many, many (...yes, that really was three) more.

In this video, our host Stefanie Alleyne chats it up with today's panelists, Joanna Rudolph and Sha Hayes in the East Village in Manhattan to assess what it takes to make New Year's Eve memorable.

Did not like it. It's a Love, Actually wanna-be that never quite hit the right note for me.

If it is anything like Valentine's Day (terrible IMO) then I'm not going to bother.

I've never seen Valentines Day and I dont plan to see this. I really hate formula-based movies.

I'm hesitant. I loved 'Love, Actually', and I never saw 'V-Day' for the same reason. :) Just not sure if they can live up.

I feel that, like Valentine's Day, there are too many characters for the audience to develop any feeling about them. I'll wait for Netflix.

It received a 7 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Need I say more?

I love this kind of ensemble "feel good" movie, so I am tempted, but I fear nothing will ever rival the sublime sweetness of "Love Actually". It's my absolute favorite!

it looks cute. Seems like it's going to be along the same lines as "Valentine's Day" from a couple of years back.
