BlogHer Original Post

Welcome to this non-erudite blog written by and for the voracious, however busy, reader who seeks humorous interludes because you know they’re out there somewhere. What follows are vignettes that cover family life, the writing life and, overall, real life, packaged in my writing style that I like to call, “Sit down, stand up."

I’ve always been enamored with the letters of the alphabet and I strung them together to come up with my first little poem about trees in third grade. However, my real love affair with the alphabet kicked into high gear when I delved into the craft of writing, and all things literary, in college. While I spent a great deal of time writing everything from poetry, to scripts, to essays, to "Why Me?" journal entries, I also studied journalistic concepts like the 5-W’s and 1-H, in addition to the guy’s buff shoulders who sat in front of me in several

of the aforementioned journalism classes.

So, ladies and gentlemen, without further ado, I give you the following blog entries that could, quite possibly, be "heard" around the world. (A girl can dream.)

Happy Trails!
