BlogHer Original Post

Farrah Abraham, best known as one of the stars of MTV's Teen Mom but also known for getting an obscene amount of plastic surgery by age 22, has totally outdone herself this time.

This week on her Sulia blog Farrah posted about her adventure in ATTEMPTING TO WAX HER THREE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER'S EYEBROWS.

No, you totally read that right. She waxed her toddler's eyebrows. Apparently Farrah had decided that her daughter's joined brows weren't going to disappear with age and wanted to be proactive.

Farrah writes:

"...So I told sophia (my daughter who is a late 3 years old) of the little issue on her brow, and I showed her how I waxed mine off, so I tryed to wax her, the second a dab hit the Uni, she touch it with the towel she had in her hand,

UHHH so now, wax was in the towel, and I yanked it back ASAP, but fuzz was not stuck to the wax stuck to her Uni, OMG moment, So now sophia was freaking out, so I had to act like it was a cool science project to get the wax off.

PLOT TO END THIS: Sophia feel a sleep, I got my tweezers and Pluck-pluck-pluck......soph was now saying ouch or anything and still was asleep, I got most of it off and then finally she woke up..I went to sleep .

The next morning I showed her and told her how well she did and she didn't even know, She was more intrigued now to be ok with upkeeping her non-unibrow. I could tell she was proud.

Ah I feel like a good mom:)"

Ms. Abraham, might I have a word with you, toddler Mama to toddler Mama? I'm going to move past the part where you tried to apply hot wax WHICH HAS BEEN KNOWN TO BURN AN ADULT to your toddler's face and were surprised when she freaked out. I mean...I shouldn't move past that because it is freaking disturbing in it's own right, but I will. And I'm going to try to not even let the fact that waxing your toddlers facial hair is bound to cause it to grow back thicker and more intensely, or that the pulling of the wax strip could cause premature wrinkling even enter in to my reaction because SERIOUSLY YOU FREAK, there is a little girl under that [potential] unibrow.

That's your little girl Farrah, and as her Mom, it is your job to make her feel like she is beautiful no matter what. Instead, you've shown her that you not only see her imperfections, you'll try to rip them out of her face while she sleeps.

Lately, when my toddler finishes getting dressed she spins for me and announces "I'm all dressed, look how beautiful I am now!" And every time, I tell her: "You were already beautiful, and now your'e wearing a very beautiful dress." Because it's not the same thing, Farrah -- what's on their outside and what's on their inside. And as their Mamas, it's our most important job to make sure they know that.
